The Gotek emulator box has the form factor of a 3.5" floppy drive, thus it is connected via a 34 pin IDC signal connector and a small 4 pin power connector. The 3174, on the other hand, uses 5.25" floppy drives which use a PCB card edge connector for signals and a 4 pin Molex power connector. I had ordered and received an adapter between IDC and card edge, thus solving the signal connectivity.
Alas, the existing adapter for power that I own has the proper small 4 pin female connector but the larger Molex side is female. Well, so is the power cable from the 3174. A new cable is on its way with the proper genders for both sides, but it won't be here until Monday and I am eager to go today.
