PCB IN TRANSIT FOR DELIVERY ON FEB 24
Pickup did occur a few hours after the work was completed in the fab. DHL contacted me with a scheduled delivery of Thursday Feb 24th. Don't know if the US Holiday on Monday will complicate the passage through customs and DHL, but I will plan on having the board in my hand by Thursday.
I have family coming to visit on Friday thus won't be able to solder together the PCB for a few more days, but at least I can admire the unpopulated board. If only it arrived on the 23rd, I could have installed a substantial portion of the components on the Thursday.
TTY RESTORATION BEGINS
David C arrived this afternoon with his ASR 33 teletypes, three units in total. We worked on the first of the three, restoring the keyboard and its linkage. As of the end of the evening, the distributor clutch was not stopping, undergoing continual cycles and emitting null chatter. We did some study this evening and will be ready to find and correct the root cause. Once that is handled, we can begin to check out the reception, typing and other actions of the unit.
