Found specs for the capacitor knocked off the 3475 SLT card

IBM COMPONENTS HAVE 'PRIVATE LABEL' NUMBERS

Repairing or reverse engineering SLT cards is challenging because the parts are marked with IBM numbers, not anything used by the parts manufacturers. Thus it was not possible to look these up in suppliers databases or via web searches.

For example, the part that snapped off when I was wrestling the SLT card out of the memory compartment was marked 241-4949 and had no indication of component value (or even the type). From the context and the sanitized circuit diagram found in the SJ-4 memory ALDs, I knew it was a capacitor but that was all.

THREE DIFFERENT VERSIONS FOUND ON 3475 CARDS

I found three different looking capacitors on the cards, all marked with the IBM part number 241-4949, but these are electrically identical. All that matters is that I replace it with a compatible capacitor.

GREAT MANUAL AVAILABLE - IBM PASSIVE COMPONENTS GUIDE

I found a very useful manual on Bitsavers which has the part numbers listed along with specifications and a ton of useful engineering data as well.

Based on this information, I will install a 100 nF (.1 uF) capacitor of at least 25V rating in order to repair the card.
